Blackpink’s Jenny and Jisoo were set to launch Individual Agencies.

There were reports that Blackpink members Jenny and Jisoo will form a one-person agency, but YG Entertainment stated that this still hasn’t been confirmed.

In response to the formation of a single-person agency for BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Jisoo, YG stated, “No confirmation as to whether or not to re-contract.”

On September 25, YG stated that “there is no confirmation yet regarding the renewal and future activities of BLACKPINK” in regards to the formation of a one-person agency by Jennie and Jisoo.

Blackpink, who debuted in August 2016, is discussing whether to renew its contract with YG Entertainment this year. The seven-year exclusive contract expires in August, however neither side announced an official position on whether to renew the contract until the tour concluded with “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK FINALE IN SEOUL.”

Prior to the speculation of Jisoo and Jenny forming a one-person agency, YG stated that only Lisa among Blackpink members is unlikely to renew her contract with YG on July 12. “We are currently in talks,” YG said.

When reports circulated that Rose would renew her contract on September 21 and the other three members would quit YG, the company issued an official statement saying, “There is no confirmation regarding the renewal of Blackpink.”
