Jungkook of BTS smashes PSY records on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Standing Next To You” begins at number one on the Global 200.

This week, Jungkook of BTS made history by appearing on multiple Billboard charts!

In the week that ended on November 18, Jungkook’s brand-new single, “Standing Next to You,” which is the lead single from his debut solo album “GOLDEN,” surmounted the charts with great success.

The first Korean soloist to ever top either chart with three different songs is Jungkook, whose song “Standing Next to You” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. list. Before, with “Seven” and “3D,” Jungkook peaked at the top of both lists. Aside from being Jungkook’s first No. 1 single without an accompanying artist (“Seven” and “3D” featured Latto and Jack Harlow, respectively), Billboard also points out that “Standing Next to You.”

Jungkook previously made an appearance on the Hot 100 with the Suga-produced “7 Fates: CHAKHO” OST track “Stay Alive,” as well as the Charlie Puth collaborations “Left and Right,” “Seven,” and “3D.” Most recently, he collaborated with Kid LAROI and Central Cee on “Too Much.” Of those, “Seven” and “3D” (at No. 1 and No. 5, respectively) both made it into the top five.

With 84,000 downloads in its first week, “Standing Next to You” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart and No. 25 on the Streaming Songs chart.

Ultimately, this week saw Jungkook return to the top of Billboard’s Artist 100, where he spent 13 non-consecutive weeks before.
